Offices are in Kent, albeit remote working has naturally become part of the role.

The Role:

As a tax associate, the responsibilities for the role include acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients by providing them with a full personal tax compliance service as required by the circumstances of each client. You will also get the opportunity to provide briefing, supervision, and training for junior staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with clients by phone, post, email and in person.

  • Review and prepare complex personal tax returns.

  • Work alongside partners on one-off technical assignments for new and existing clients.

  • Develop and maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate courses.

  • Involvement in business development activities, attending seminars and networking activities.

The Candidate:

To be considered for the tax associate role, the ideal candidate will have proven experience gained in a personal tax department within a professional practice environment dealing with high net worth clients completing both compliance and advisory work.

Requirements include:

  • CTA qualified.

  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.

  • Experience in an advisory role (in addition to compliance work).

  • Experience using Digita software is advantageous

  • Ability to work in a team environment developing mutually supportive and effective working relationships.
