Pricing Manager - Gen AI

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to play a strategic role in shaping how complex, high‑value and multi‑jurisdictional legal matters are priced and delivered, with a focus on those enhanced by technology and GenAI.

The Role

You'll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, leading the firm's complex matter pricing capability and driving commercially sound, innovative fee structures. You'll collaborate closely with lawyers, legal technologists, project managers and finance teams, while leading and developing a high‑performing pricing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's complex matter pricing capability, including matters incorporating technology or GenAI-assisted delivery
  • Advise partners on:
    • pricing strategy
    • fee structures and alternative fee arrangements (including value‑ and outcome‑based models)
    • financial modelling, margin analysis and negotiation planning
  • Develop bespoke and scalable pricing models for complex and novel work
  • Support major proposals, RFPs and competitive bids - from strategy formation through governance and approval
  • Project‑manage the pricing components of time‑critical proposals
  • Embed best‑practice pricing processes, governance, tools and playbooks across the firm
  • Monitor market, pricing and legal technology trends - especially developments in GenAI
  • Lead, mentor and develop a talented pricing team, promoting accountability, innovation and continuous improvement

Ideally, you bring:

  • Significant experience in pricing, commercial finance or matter pricing within professional services
  • A track record of supporting complex, high value or multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and accuracy under pressure
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders and influencing high stakes decisions
  • A genuine interest in:
    • GenAI and legal technology
    • value based pricing and innovative fee models
    • evolving client expectations
  • Confident communication style and collaborative working approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities
  • Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and development
