We are recruiting a Pitch Executive on a permanent basis to join our Marketing and Business Development department.

Role Overview:

The Pitch Executive will report to the Pitch Manager and work as part of the Pitch Team (also including a Pitch and BD Assistant). The Pitch Team sit within the Business Development Team and advise fee earners on best practice throughout the pitch process from start to finish. The Pitch Executive will hold an important role in driving the usage of AI (Harvey) and BigHand Pitching and Proposals, our tools to prepare and manage pitch responses and credentials documents. The Pitch Executive will work with the support of our in-house design team to complete pitches in InDesign. They will have excellent communication and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is passionate, is keen to develop the role and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively with our business development team and fee earners alike to take responsibility for:

  • writing pitch content and creating the pitch related materials including credential statements, RFIs, RFPs and panel pitches, with input and guidance from the business development team as required;
  • advising on and promoting best practice throughout the process from pitch go/no-go to post-pitch follow up;
  • working with both the Pitch Manager and the Pitch and BD Assistant to manage the usage and act as superuser of BigHand Pitching and Proposals, our pitch production software;
  • maintaining and updating the firm's pitch repository (Harvey AI vault),and pitch boiler plate wording to ensure our standard content is accurate and consistent;
  • monitoring market trends, competitor and client activity to ensure the firm is offering distinctive business- winning ideas;
  • ensuring that relevant research and information has been gathered ahead of starting the pitch process;
  • reviewing/proofing documents to ensure that our work is of an excellent standard; and
  • helping with pitch reporting and ensuring that pitch feedback is gathered, and lessons learnt are shared as

The successful candidate will have the following required skills:

  • experience of the pitch/bids process, preferably in a professional services environment, gained from a pitch- focused role or a pitch-heavy BD role;
  • prioritises a busy workload, delivering to short term deadlines (pitches) and longer-term ones (projects to support the pitch process);
  • excellent project and time management skills;
  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels of seniority;
  • good understanding of "best practice" in winning new business in the legal environment;
  • strong copywriting skills;
  • excellent attention to detail; and
  • team player, enthusiastic and optimistic
