Partnership Tax Assistant Manager

Our client, an international Law Firm, are looking for a Partnership Tax Assistant Manager to join their Finance function.

You will be working with the Head of Partnership tax and the Senior tax manager and will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to the partners and the firm. The role is suitable for an individual with previous experience in partnership and personal tax and who will be comfortable with senior stakeholder management.

Key duties:

• To provide a UK tax compliance and advisory service to the partners
• Day to day management of the partners' tax affairs including organising tax payments to HMRC
• Dealing with HMRC enquiries into partners' tax affairs
• Preparation of the partners' tax returns
• Preparation of the partnership tax return and other partnership tax matters
• Assisting in the year-end tax reserving process and preparation of the firm's tax computation
• Collate information and arrange for tax releases in respect of personal tax reliefs
• Discussions with newly appointed partners and meetings/explanations for retiring partners
• Assisting the Global Mobility team with ongoing tax advice and the preparation of the UK tax returns for all secondees
• Training junior members of the team
• Ad hoc projects, which are wide ranging given the size of the team and cover the tax affairs of the firm and partners

Key requirements:

Newly qualified CTA or qualified ATT with experience

• At least 4/5 years of partnership and personal tax experience
• Good communication skills as you will be dealing with stakeholders of the firm and HMRC
• You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to the partners and the firm
• You will have strong experience of working within personal tax and be willing to expand your competencies
• Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with methodical and logical approach
