Marketing and Business Development Coordinator

A global, magic circle law firm is looking for a talented Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join their team. You will provide support to the creative and friendly UK Marketing and BD Sector team. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely to the UK national sector managers in implementing sector marketing and business development plans across the UK offices.

  • Coordinate the delivery of specific local and UK wide client events.

  • Act as a support on UK sector related pitches, capability statements and materials required for client BD meetings.

  • Get the chance to create and maintain UK related sector marketing collateral such as flyers, brochures and placemats and ensure others can access this with ease.

  • Identify relevant conferences/events and opportunities that will build our knowledge and profile and co-ordinate attendance at sector conferences and events. Co-ordinate attendance at specific sector related dinners and awards.

  • You will liaise with international sector teams in order to understand planned campaigns and activity.

  • Work with the relevant UK National Sector Manager in building the firms brand and profile in relevant sectors.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate experience in delivering support for the following activities.

  • Translating the sector strategy into a pragmatic, action focussed approach by utilising the whole marketing mix (including communications and event management).

  • Having ownership of competitive products and services including pitches, RFP's, client presentations and other BD documentation.

  • Dealing with external suppliers to include designers, PR agencies, event companies, venues etc.

  • Stakeholder management and effective communication skills.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Experience within a Corporate environment or ideally within professional services.

  • You will be confident operating on your own initiative, owning projects and seeing them through to conclusion.

  • Demonstrate a proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.

  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully co-ordinate projects in a virtual team environment.

  • You will be IT literate and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word 2010 and Outlook. You will also ideally have experience using InterAction/CRM systems.

  • It is desirable but not essential that you hold a degree or professional certificate in Marketing.
