Role purpose | The Marketing & Business Development Coordinator plays a central delivery role within the BD & Marketing team. Sitting between the Assistant and Senior BD Executive levels, this person is expected to work with a high degree of independence to support campaigns, client development activity, events, BD follow-up, and marketing operations. Reporting to the Clients & Markets Manager, this is a broad-based, hands-on role ideal for someone eager to build experience across the full marketing and business development mix - including campaigns, events, digital, client relationships, pitching, PR and internal communications. The role is designed for someone with approximately 18 months+ experience who can take ownership of tasks end-to-end, bringing maturity, proactivity and attention to detail. |
Key responsibilities | Campaigns & Marketing Delivery · Help prepare materials for marketing initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with the firm's brand. · Coordinate sector and firmwide BD and marketing campaigns. · Prepare marketing collateral and ensure consistency with brand guidelines. · Assist with internal communications relating to BD initiatives. Funnel Management · Own follow-up cycles from events, campaigns, pitches and BD meetings. · Maintain BD trackers, lists, opportunity pipelines and CRM records. · Ensure BD activity across practices is visible, organised, and progressed. |
| Client & Market Development · Conduct desk research and produce client research packs on prospects, industries, competitors and clients · Assist in preparing targeting lists, relationship mapping, and opportunity summaries. · Provide structured support for sector leads and BD workstreams. · Support partners by preparing meeting briefs, pitch materials and capability documents (working closely with Senior BD Execs). Events & Engagement · Coordinate logistics and communications for client events and webinars. · Manage team-on-team events. · Support post-event follow-up and reporting. · Work collaboratively with the Senior Events Executives to deliver high-quality events. BD Communications & Reporting Coordination · Collate the quarterly BD newsletter, ensuring high-quality content and timely distribution. · Prepare and share weekly pipeline updates. · Produce a monthly performance and activity summary, highlighting key metrics and progress. |
Skills, experience and attributes | · Around 18 months-2 years' experience in marketing or business development, ideally in professional services. · Digital fluency across CMS, CRM, email marketing and analytics tools. · Highly organised with strong task management skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. · Highly organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. · Curious, proactive and eager to learn from a wide range of marketing and BD activities. · Confident working independently and progressing workstreams without supervision. · Team-oriented, collaborative and positive - someone who enjoys working with others and contributing to shared goals. · Confident using technology and comfortable learning new systems. · Professional, personable and aligned with the firm's SPHERE values - Supportive, Professional, Honest, Encouraging, Respectful and Empowering |
