Management Accountant

Ambition is representing a leading international Law Firm who are looking for a proactive Management Accountant to be an integral part of a fast paced and supportive team. You will have the opportunity in providing financial reporting, alongside the Management Accounts and wider R&A group within Finance. As the Management Accountant some of your responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts, including P&Ls, balance sheet and cash flows
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close process
• Assisting in production of headcount and other KPI reports looking for variances to budget
• Assisting in the management and control of the nominal ledger accounts
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany, accounts payable and PAYE
• Preparation and maintenance of accruals and prepayments
• Assisting in the maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Review of monthly overhead expenditure reports and variance analysis
• Supporting other members of the reporting and analysis team including direction of junior staff
• Liaising with the Accounts Payable team with respect to expenses, invoice postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting with the preparation of the annual budget and the audit process
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects and reporting as and when they may arise

To be successful in this Management Accountant position, some of the requirements include:

• Part or Fully Qualified Accountant
• Experience within a Law Firm or professional services setting
• Good understanding of multicurrency bookkeeping and statutory requirements
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
