Legal Biller

Manage the end‑to‑end billing cycle for designated fee‑earning teams, ensuring bills are raised accurately and on time, in full compliance with agreed charge rates, time‑recording policies, and client service level agreements.

Proactively monitor work in progress (WIP) and aged debt, holding regular discussions with fee earners and partners to encourage timely billing and reduce lock‑up.

Prepare, review, and finalise interim and final invoices, including complex and composite bills, ensuring all narrative, financial, and supporting information is complete and accurate prior to issue.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date matter and billing data, processing amendments efficiently and resolving billing queries promptly to support the wider revenue cycle.

Produce and distribute regular WIP and billing reports, following up on missing or incomplete time entries and outstanding draft bills as required.

Build strong, collaborative relationships across the firm, working closely with Finance and Working Capital teams to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Respond to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex issues where appropriate, while consistently delivering a high standard of service in line with firm values and confidentiality requirements.
