Junior Legal Biller

Ambition are excited to support one of our top global law firm clients with their recruitment for a Junior Legal Biller. You do not need to have previously billing experience, just some experience in a legal finance role and an interest in pursuing a career within legal billing.

This role is going to be an integral part of the busy wider billing team, supporting them in delivering an efficient billing service, assisting in the implementation of initiatives to develop the billing function, and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist partners and fee earners in the preparation of bills to clients.
• Field enquiries from EAs and fee-earners, answering requests and allocating centrally received requests.
• Assist in the administration of the billing function, including timesheet checking, client set-up, and rate management.
• Build knowledge of various billing processes and eBilling systems.
• Run reports and validate data, building knowledge of 3E for report construction.
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with internal clients, including partners and other fee earners.
• Take a hands-on approach to learning about the billing function and its contribution to the firm.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a professional or legal services environment, although full training will be provided. Key attributes include:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Excel and Word).
• Strong communication skills (written, spoken, and presentational).
• High numeracy standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and use of grammar.
• Proactive and confident, with the ability to manage workload using initiative.
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task, and work to tight deadlines.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
