Insolvency Assistant Manager

Ambition are proud to partner with a global accountancy firm that are searching for an experienced Insolvency Assistant Manager or Senior Insolvency Administrator for their Corporate Simplification (CS) team.

In the UK the firm has over 20 offices and due to their flexible working policy, you can be based anywhere within in the UK.

The CS team is a market leader and processes some two to three hundred solvent liquidations a year and typically returning in excess of £1 billion in assets a year to shareholders.

Due to the highly specialised nature of the work, the CS team is relatively small in comparison to the firm's other insolvency teams. Whilst you will be working within an established firm with an international network, you will also benefit from the culture and collaborative nature of a smaller team.

In addition, due to the nature of their work, the longer lead times makes it easier to plan your schedule. Also, you will get to work with live companies that are not in financial distress and so the work you will be doing will have a more positive spin to it.

Upon joining you will plan, implement and administer corporate eliminations and solvent restructuring procedures - including solvent Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs), strike offs and capital reductions. You will be involved from the pre-elimination review stage of work, through to the preparation of relevant documentation and in the case of MVLs, the liquidator's appointment, subsequently realising assets, paying liabilities, distributing surplus assets and closing cases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years corporate insolvency experience
  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of case work and have a sound knowledge of basic company administration and insolvency issues
  • MVL experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential and training will be provided in the role
  • CPI/ACA/ACCA qualification desirable
