Group Financial Accountant

Ambition is representing a leading International Law Firm, who are currently looking for a fully qualified Group Financial Accountant. As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be supporting with the preparation of the group's statutory accounts, the group audit and support the Group to develop a strong internal control environment. This role will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller and will be part of the Central Group Reporting team based in London. They are supportive of a flexible working environment and promote equal opportunities.

As the Group Financial Accountant some of your responsibilities include:

• Year-end planning, preparation & GL review

• Preparation of audit requests directly and Group Consolidation

• Preparation of the firm's consolidated statutory accounts, subsidiary LLP and company accounts

• Preparation and finalisation of all year-end entries and eliminations

• Identification of control improvements and standardisation of controls across the firm

• Participating in the ongoing development to optimise the efficiency of financial processes on certain balance sheet items

• Control, reconciliation and quarterly settlement process of Interoffice balance sheet accounts

• Frequent contact with the Finance Director, Group CFO, other members of senior management, the firm's auditors and daily contact with the Group Financial Controller, other members of the Group Reporting team and wider finance team, both in the UK and overseas offices

To be successful in this Group Financial Accountant position, some of the requirements include:

• Qualified accountant with experience in the Legal Sector or wider Professional Services

• Understanding of statutory accounting, statutory auditors and group consolidation

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
