Germany & Austria - Pitch Lead

Location: Hamburg, Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
Contract Type: Permanent
Specialisation: BD, Marketing & Communications
Salary: Negotiable
REF: BBBH246688_1626273175

We are working with one the leading global law firms to recruit an experienced bids professional who can lead their German & Austrian offices responses and strategy to tenders and bids. Whilst the role will be the lead for this region, it will also form a key component of the wider international pitch team and work very closely with the Head of BD for Germany and wider BD/Marketing colleagues based regionally.

The role itself will work across a number of sector areas but particular high-volume areas are found amongst 'industrial' led sectors such as automotive, real estate and energy to name a few. We are completely open to where this role should be based and would welcome applicants based in Germany or Austria alongside the UK. German and English language would be preferable and advantageous in terms of building relationships with the German & Austrian partners and writing the bids and tenders in English.

We feel the position would suit someone who is currently operating at management level and is excited by the prospect of taking on what is effectively the lead for the German & Austrian market and playing a pivotal part in the wider global pitch team. Previous experience of holding a bid or BD role within a law firm would be advantageous but not essential, you will need to demonstrate the capability to interact with senior stakeholders and depth of responsibility of managing multiple processes at the same time.

The role will obviously start from a remote setting, but the individual should be open to the idea of travel between London and Germany/Austria as and when the role dictates, and we are in a position to do so safely. However, the amount of travel required is flexible and can be assessed once the individual is in the role.
