Financial Accountant

NEW Financial Accountant position available to cover maternity leave in US law firm. This role will be offered on an 18 month FTC basis to allow for a hand over.

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the statutory LLP financials, corporate tax returns, VAT reporting and compliance, payroll, client account, Partner payments and SRA and statutory audit functions.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation and oversight of the London LLP and other LLP locations/ subsidiary accounts working between cash and accrual accounting, liaising with professional advisors as required.
• Accountability for controlling and annually reconciling balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
• Management of tax computations for the London LLP and two others.
• Managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Applicants must be fully qualified ACCA or ACA and have proven in-depth and up to date technical knowledge of financial accounting legislation as well as recent experience of preparation of financial statements under UK GAAP.

Experience within professional services is required.

Currently, the office is not open and everyone is working remotely. Once safe to do so, the firm will initially move back to 2 days a week in the office, longer term will be closer to 4 days in the office.
