Finance Systems Reporting Manager

Newly created Finance Systems Reporting Manager position available at an international law firm.

The Finance Systems team are looking to build a data warehouse and this role would take on the main responsibility of building, designing and implementing that.

Therefore, previous experience dealing with, creating, designing data warehouses is essential for this role, as well as experience is SQL, SSRS, SSAS, DIT and Power BI.

They use Aderant as their finance PMS but that is not an essential requirement, although they would like someone to have experience of either legal or wider professional services to understand the finance measures in legal.

Specific duties include:

• Development and improvement of the current reporting suite.
• Design and development of a financial global warehouse to improve the extraction and presentation of key data to a range of stakeholders at all levels for a variety of projects.
• Knowledge of delivering projects on specific data areas e.g. Finance, Profitability, Pricing, BD, HR, Budgeting.
• Attention to detail around data and maintenance across all systems.
• Building user friendly dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Assisting the review and development of all finance processes and utilising reporting to assist with decision making.
• Develop and maintain the various finance reporting systems. Working closely with any stakeholder to ensure that the team has the data and reports it needs.
• Assist with the development and rollout of new software and solutions.
• Assisting the Finance Systems Manager in their review of all financial related processes in current use (Aderant and PowerBI/SSRS reports), helping to implement agreed future developments.
• Assist with the development and adoption of Microsoft Power BI.

Reporting into the Finance Systems Manager, there are two other finance systems experts, as well as a project manager in the direct team.

They operate a very flexible hybrid working policy with no set days required in the office, more so when there is a business need. This does mean that they are open to applicants from outside of London and the surrounding areas as long as someone is happy to come to London as and when needed.
