Finance Business Partner
My client, an international law firm, are looking for a commercially minded, experienced Finance Business Partner to join their global Finance team and support the high-performing Dispute Resolution division which spans across Europe, APAC, and the US, with a focus on supporting strategic growth in the US.
This is a newly instated role that has been created following the growth of the firms Dispute Resolution team and it now needed more dedicated resources.
Key Responsibilities:
As a trusted finance business partner, you will:
- Monitor and analyse divisional financial performance, providing insights on KPIs, variances, and profitability to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with regional and divisional leaders to drive billing, collections, and financial hygiene, ensuring timely revenue recognition and effective working capital management.
- Support pricing and profitability initiatives, including alternative fee arrangements, rate setting, and client/matter profitability analysis.
- Lead the division's financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modelling.
- Contribute to lateral partner recruitment, preparing financial models and supporting integration.
- Deliver finance training to partners and fee earners, enhancing financial literacy and commercial awareness.
- Act as a liaison between the division and central finance teams, ensuring alignment on reporting, systems, and best practices.
- Drive process improvements and support divisional projects with financial insight and analysis.
Experience needed:
- Qualified accountant with experience in a finance business partner or commercial finance role.
- A background in a law firm or wider professional services environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
- Commercially savvy, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced, international environment.
