Business Development Specialist
We are partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Business Development Coordinator/Specialist for their Milan office. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to support the growth of the Milan team and work closely with colleagues across Europe in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The Role
As the Business Development Coordinator/Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting business development activities across all practice areas, with a particular focus on transactional services. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of BD tasks and contribute to the firm's strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and format pitches, proposals, and credentials in line with firm standards.
- Maintain and update BD systems, including CRM databases and pitch libraries.
- Assist with tracking BD activities and preparing reports for management.
- Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence to support client initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for client events and sponsorships.
- Update marketing materials, attorney biographies, and templates for accuracy and consistency.
- Support cross-office projects and client action plans.
- Draft press releases for deal announcements in coordination with BD and PR teams.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years' experience in business development, marketing, or a similar role within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Native-level Italian and full professional proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is advantageous.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.
