Business Development Manager - Paris

We are working with an innovative legal brand to bring someone into the European team at BDM/Senior BDM level, to drive forward their French operation. The role will report into the European BD Director and be the main business development professional based in Paris.

The firm have a diverse set of sector groups, ranging from the more traditional corporate areas through to Technology and Healthcare. Therefore, we are not prioritizing as particular sector area of expertise but would be looking to engage BD professionals who can be adaptable and have prior management experience ideally from within the Legal sector.

Given the nature of the role and the exciting journey the firm is on, we anticipate the role being a good platform for mid-long term development as the French operation grows, giving you the ability to scope the role and direction of the firm's business development.

Core aspects of the role will include;

  • Working with wider European counterparts in Germany & London to drive forward BD sector initiatives inline with the wider European agenda.
  • Take the lead on all internal matters relating to the French market, working with the key partners of the firm to set the marketing strategy specific for each industry. You will also be involved in working in a client relationship capacity for the firms leading French Headquartered client base.
  • Drive forward the firms profile in core markets and also in target markets too, uplifting the firms external reputation. You will also be able to leverage this from their standing in the US market.
  • Ensure you take a lead on strategic pitch work, providing advice and insight to ensure the firm continues to improve their win ratio. You will be mainly working upon the key top priority bids for the French market and inputting on European wide bids with colleagues.

We would welcome engagement from individuals currently operating at either BDM or Senior BDM level within the Legal sector, who would be engaged by the opportunity to be the lead business development professional within the French market.
