Business Development Manager - Madrid

We are exclusively partnering with a leading global law firm to recruit a Business Development & Marketing Manager to support the launch of their new Madrid office. This is a pivotal, strategic role where you will work closely with senior leadership across Europe and the U.S. to build market presence, drive client development, and shape the firm's BD and marketing strategy in Spain. The position offers a rare opportunity to be part of a significant office opening and to contribute directly to the firm's growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all BD and marketing activity for the Madrid office, working closely with senior team members regionally and globally.
  • Drive key client initiatives, identifying and developing high‑value client opportunities and supporting cross‑firm collaboration.
  • Manage and execute pitches and RFPs, partnering with global proposal teams where needed.
  • Develop and maintain Madrid‑specific marketing materials, lawyer bios and practice content.
  • Coordinate directory submissions, local matter collection, league table input, and PR/social media activity in collaboration with global teams.

Experience Required

  • Solid background in business development and marketing within professional services, ideally gained in an international law firm.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot.
