A leading international law firm is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Business Development Manager to support its Banking and Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) practice. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape BD strategy, drive client engagement, and contribute to the growth of a globally recognised practice.
The Opportunity
This role sits within a globally connected Business Development & Marketing (BDM) function, known for its collaborative culture and strategic influence. You'll work closely with partners and lawyers to develop and execute BD plans, identify growth opportunities, and deliver client-centric initiatives that align with firm-wide priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement BD strategies to support growth across Banking and R&I.
- Lead and support a wide range of BD and marketing initiatives including digital campaigns, events, pitching, CRM, and directory submissions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to lawyers, building strong internal relationships and providing strategic BD guidance.
- Align practice and client targeting strategies with global BD objectives.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities across practice areas and geographies.
- Leverage data-led insights and GenAI tools to identify opportunities and enhance BD effectiveness.
- Provide input into high-impact pitch and panel submissions.
- Monitor market trends and client feedback to inform BD strategy and pipeline development.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in business development within legal or professional services, ideally in Banking or R&I.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including at senior levels.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working across global teams and driving interconnectivity.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation and growth.
