Business Development Manager - Amsterdam

We are delighted to be working on a new role located in Amsterdam for a global law firm who are looking to add headcount at BDM/Senior BDM level to work across their Amsterdam office. As this person will be working very closely with the Head of BD and operating as a trusted advisor to many of the senior partners at the firm, we are ideally looking for someone who is an established manager who would be engaged by the prospect of working for a global brand and operating firmwide as opposed to having a set sector focus.

Core responsibilities include;

• Working with two of the firms core sectors, you will consult with the partners and Head of BD to put in place a commercial strategy for the markets and help to execute these plans working in an advisory capacity with the fee earners.
• Take a lead on managing a select group of the firms core strategic client relationships, these will be international clients and as such you will be expected to devise and deliver upon the annual client plan and take a keen hands-on interest in continuing to monitor market trends to further enhance the firms standing amongst these clients.
• Putting together innovative and thought-provoking marketing initiatives to enhance the firms reputation in certain markets and ensuring the firm is best placed to maintain market share and further enhance the opportunity for new business.

Prior Legal BD experience would be advantageous, we would also be keen to discuss this opportunity with individuals who have also operated within wider professional services too. We are also open to individuals who would be keen to relocate to Amsterdam, Dutch language skills would be a bonus but not essential, how fluent written and verbal English skills are essential to be able to undertake the role.
