An well‑regarded London law firm is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support its next phase of growth. With a strong market reputation and a clear strategic direction, this is an opportunity to play a visible role in shaping how the firm grows its client relationships and wins work.

This role would suit either an experienced BD Manager or a strong Senior BD Executive ready to step up.

This is a genuinely mixed BD role - combining strategic influence with hands‑on delivery. You'll work closely with partners across the Real Estate (commercial and residential), Corporate and Litigation teams, helping them identify opportunities, sharpen their market approach and convert activity into real results.

You'll be trusted to take ownership, bring ideas, and challenge constructively, while also rolling up your sleeves and delivering high‑quality BD support day to day.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and driving BD plans that align with the firm's wider strategy
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to partners, supporting everything from targeting and pitching to relationship planning
  • Spotting growth opportunities, market trends and new client angles
  • Leading pitch activity end‑to‑end, producing tailored, compelling submissions
  • Strengthening client and intermediary relationships, with a focus on referrals and cross‑selling
  • Working with marketing and communications on campaigns, events and thought leadership
  • Taking ownership of directory submissions and profile‑raising activity
  • Championing effective CRM use, data quality and reporting
  • Coaching and supporting fee earners to build confidence in their BD activity

About you

You'll come from a law firm or professional services environment and enjoy operating close to the business. You're comfortable building credibility with partners, balancing longer‑term planning with practical delivery, and taking responsibility for your work.
