Business Development lead - Global regulatory & Financial crime

We are working with a top tier law firm to bring a seasoned Legal BDM to take on a global regulatory role which also encompasses financial crime & investigations and sits within the global Litigation team. Within the role you will be required to work with fee earners based across the Americas, Europe and Asia, which in our opinion should give the role a great deal of depth and scope whilst also being very varied in its approach providing a great mid-long term career platform.

We would ideally be looking to engage experienced Legal business development professionals in New York who have experience of operating in a global capacity, however we would not discount individuals who only have North American/local market experience. A keen level of interest in the sector groups will need to be demonstrated and some prior exposure within a litigation/disputes capacity would be advantageous.

Core Duties within the role will include;

  • Work with the fee earners and partnership, to enhance the firms positioning and standing in certain markets, by devising and creating thought provoking thought leadership and marketing content/campaigns.
  • Become the lead client development manager for a number of the firms high profile clients, working in tandem with the fee earners and partners to maintain and enhance the existing relationships.
  • Take the lead on providing strategic research around the market and identifying potential revenue opportunities for the firm and putting together a coordinated plan on how to approach these opportunities.
  • Other general business development and marketing duties will also be included, for example the bids/pitch/events process relevant for the sector.
