We are excited to be working on a truly client centric role for a global law firm, taking the lead on their Global Energy sector, which is one of the largest sectors within the firm. The role is different in its approach to your traditional sector or practice led BD role, with how it takes on more of a trusted advisor position working in tandem with the partners and becoming a subject knowledge expert.

The role is very commercially driven in its nature and as opposed to taking on traditional BD work (the role has no bids/pitch element), the bulk of your time will be spent in advising the partnership around their core Energy client base consisting of c20 global clients. The sector itself is embarking on a new era decarbonisation and 'clean energy' which in our opinion will lead to some interesting opportunities and challenges for this individual to be part of the sector change in focus away from oil & gas.

We feel the role will be best suited to someone who is currently in a client relationship role from across the professional services space, engaging individuals from a consultancy/'big 4' background would be particularly appealing. Alongside that profile we would also be keen to engage individuals who are currently working in Legal BD roles; however you will need to be able to demonstrate exposure to client facing work.

As the role is fairly autonomous in it's approach, we would be looking for individuals to have operated at management grade previously and prior experience of working in an international role would also be beneficial.
