Reporting directly to the Senior Partner, the Director of Business Development will provide strategic leadership and direction on business development and marketing initiatives.
The Director of Business Development is a key leadership position within the firm and they will play a critical role in the firm's next phase of development and growth. The role works closely with the firm's management committee as well as the other department heads and Partners.
Responsibilities for the role will include:
Overall responsibility for marketing and BD strategy
Identifying opportunities for and developing new business ideas across the firm in conjunction with fee earners and Partners
Coaching and supporting fee earners with BD efforts and pitch preparation
Working with Client Partners on the development of client plans for the firm's key clients including implementation of client listening programmes
Overall responsibility for the firm's external communications including press releases, thought leadership, client communications
Management and development of the firm's online and offline brand including roll out of refreshed brand across multiple channels
Management and development of the existing BD & Marketing team
Budget and reporting responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing Director or Head of BD & Marketing in a law firm who is looking for a role with fantastic visibility and firm-wide accountability. It is key that the individual can influence and build relationship at all levels within a firm and is someone who can balance the priorities of devising strategy and ensuring excellent execution on key activities.
