Business Development & Marketing Specialist

I am working with a prestigious top 20 law firm in their search for a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join their dynamic M&A and Private Equity division. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the growth and success of a leading legal practice. The successful candidate will be supported by a collaborative team alongside the BD Manager, ensuring a seamless integration into the firm's business development activities.

In this pivotal role, you will work directly with the partners, providing essential support on pitches, client relationship management, events, and marketing & communications activities. Your expertise will be crucial in driving business growth and enhancing the firm's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support partners and lawyers in the practice groups by developing and implementing effective business development strategies.
  • Assist with cross-selling efforts to maximise client engagement and revenue opportunities across different practice areas.
  • Organise and prepare comprehensive materials for internal practice or industry group meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and prepared.
  • Prepare detailed credentials and pitches, tailoring materials to meet specific client needs and showcasing the firm's strengths and capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough research on clients, key individuals, and market trends to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.

About You:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong academic background.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' business development experience within an international law firm or professional services firm, demonstrating a track record of success in a similar role.
  • Possess a general knowledge of the financial markets, with a particular focus on M&A and Private Equity, enabling you to understand and anticipate client needs.
  • Exhibit a high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strategic mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
