Business and Billing Administrator
I am delighted to be partnered with a global law firm in their search for a Business and Billing Administrator to join the London finance team. This is an excellent opportunity a finance/billing assistant looking for a new role.
Day duties of the role:
- Work closely with a PA to ensure the complete preparation of bills for the Practice Area, covering several specific clients. This role involves participation at all stages.
- Collaborate with Partners to ensure bills are prepared to the required standard, signed off, and ready for e-billing to clients by strict deadlines.
- Assist in managing third-party disbursement invoices, ensuring prompt receipt from suppliers, correct posting with service dates, acceptable format and content for clients, and liaising with third parties for any revisions.
- Prepare monthly and yearly budget reports for Fee Earners.
- Maintain clients' e-billing numbers to ensure invoices can be submitted and approved on the client's e-billing platform. Follow up on any rejected invoices for amendments and re-submission.
- Ensure timekeepers' rates are correctly set up in the system.
- Conduct annual rate increase discussions with Fee Earners and ensure client approval.
- Support the Finance billing team with tasks such as bill posting, time and disbursement transfers, and special rate reviews.
The right candidate will have:
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience in legal billing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in challenging environments.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the Solicitors' Accounting Rules.
- High accuracy and speed in data input.
- Motivated team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience with Aderant Expert is a plus.
