Billing Coordinator

My client, a prestigious global magic circle law firm, is looking for a Billing Executive to join their London office. The successful candidate will deliver a first-class billing service, assist in developing the billing function, and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of client bills.
• Support fee discussions, tender exercises, and client relationship management.
• Communicate and build relationships with internal clients.
• Provide accurate reporting for internal and external review.
• Collaborate with the Billing team and other Finance teams.
• Manage queries and requests within SLAs.
• Work with various e-billing systems.
• Track bill status, address rejections and reductions.
• Follow up on issues promptly.
• Communicate rate issues, billing delays, and difficult requests.
• Verify and apply client-specific rate accommodations and discounts.
• Set up and maintain agreed rates.
• Learn about the firm's billing function and its contribution.

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of billing experience (ideally legal, with Elite 3E).
• Client-focused with adaptable service approach.
• Strong business relationship skills.
• Resilient and able to handle competing demands.
• Comfortable with diverse instructions and guidance.
• Collaborative team player and independent worker.
• Familiar with common billing issues.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in diverse teams with an inclusive culture.
