Billing Assistant

Ambition are representing an International Law Firm based in the City of London. The firm are recruiting a Billing Assistant to join their busy team. You will be reporting to the Senior Biller and provide direct billing support and admin assistance.

As a Billing Assistant, some of your responsibilities include;

  • Processing WIP and Disbursement's amendments as well as transfers and write offs
  • Raising and posting of credit notes
  • Closing matters and clients, updating File managers
  • Raising of pre bills and sending to Fee earners for review
  • Assisting the secretaries with bill amendments and raising of complex bills
  • Liaising with the Tax Manager re VAT issues

To be successful as a Billing Assistant, some of the requirements include;

  • Experience of working in a billing within the legal sector or professional services
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Ability to use initiative to resolve issues
  • Confident in working with Excel
  • Working knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounting Rules and VAT
  • Experience using Aderant is desirable
