Bid Manager

About the Role

The firm are seeking a Bid Manager who is passionate about helping teams win work and improving how bids are delivered across the business. You will take ownership of the firm-wide bids strategy, ensuring best‑practice processes are embedded and that the wider business is empowered with strong tools, guidance, and content.

You will also manage two team members, overseeing their workload and supporting their development. Alongside leading the function, you will personally manage a portfolio of bids, ensuring submissions are compelling, client‑focused, and clearly articulate the firm's strengths.


Key Responsibilities

Bid Capability Leadership

  • Lead the direction and development of the firm's bids capability.
  • Implement best‑practice processes and drive continual improvement.
  • Line manage two members of the Bid Team, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Create and refresh bid content, reviewing past submissions and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Develop self‑serve materials and training to upskill the wider business.

Bid Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of bid submissions, from kick‑off through to final delivery.
  • Develop win themes and ensure all messaging is aligned, impactful, and tailored to client needs.
  • Draft and refine bid documents, ITT responses, and RFP submissions.
  • Support high‑value pitch preparation and presentation development.
  • Work closely with partners to champion best practice across the process.
  • Obtain and analyse client feedback to drive continuous improvement.

About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a bids role within a professional services or partnership environment.
  • Strong ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive messaging under pressure.
  • Excellent project management capability, able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Confident coaching skills to support partners and senior teams.
  • Previous line management experience
