We have partnered with a top tier Law firm who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join them in their Private Equity, Leveraged Fianance and High Yield team. The role is permanent and will be based in London.

The firm's global business development, marketing and communication teams contribute to the setting and achievement of the firm's business objectives, which include supporting partners and associates in their pursuit of trusted advisers status with clients, improving client relationships, winning new business and increasing the visibility of the firm globally.

This role is responsible for the provision of day-to-day business development support for all Leveraged Finance, High Yield and Private Equity groups in London, straddling practice, product and sector coverage. This role holder will enjoy a broad role working closely with Partners to develop and implement the business development strategy and plans for the Leveraged Finance, High Yield & Private Equity business. The Business Development Manager will support associates in the execution of their BD plans, lead pitches for the relevant product areas and contribute market insight into cross-practice and cross-border pitches and assist Partners and associates in the coordination of client targeting efforts. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will coordinate practical marketing support for profile raising activities, such as speaking at industry conferences, thought leadership, events and webinars and hospitality and will manage the process of experience collection, league tables, credentials and CVs.

A bright graduate or equivalent, you will have substantial business development and marketing experience at manager level within a professional services organisation or specifically within the legal services sector, to include management of individual practice or service lines and a proven track record of achieving product-line business objectives. Candidates should also have a genuine interest and enthusiasm in developing an in-depth understanding of the Financial Services, Private Capital and Private Equity sector. Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure, the Business Development Manager will be a creative thinker with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and excellent communication skills.

A background in a simlar role in professional services is essential.
