Reports to: Head of Business Development for Litigation

Responsible for: Litigation

Purpose of the role:

Support the Head of Business Development, Litigation and wider BD team in the delivery of the team's business development plans. The role is diverse and fast-paced, requiring the person to be able to juggle multiple tasks, be it preparing bids & credential documents, organising events, preparing social media posts, liaising with sectors and groups on campaigns and cross selling, conducting research, etc. In addition to the business development and marketing responsibilities for Litigation, this BD Exec will also support activities across the Litigation, Regulatory and Tax practice as necessary. A keen interest in litigation and developments across the firm's strategic sectors are key.

Main duties and responsibilities:

General BD

Contribute to the successful implementation of business development and marketing plans through:

· Support implementation of the Litigation business plans in liaison with the Head of Business Development, Litigation.

· Support the implementation of specific business development projects and initiatives for the litigation team.

· Manage credentials documents and create engaging collateral and other marketing materials.

· Support and where appropriate take a hands-on role in the submissions process for key legal directories (Legal 500/Chambers), particularly the London categories.

· Project manage BD initiatives.

Bids

Support the generation of revenue through winning new business:

· Prepare credential statements and case studies for bids.

· Support on the preparation of bids, taking a hands-on role in relation to litigation bids.

· Maintain suite of litigation and other relevant LRT brochureware.

· Ensure the litigation content on Templafy is kept up-to-date.

Events

Working alongside the litigation BD and Events Teams, support on the delivery of high quality in-person and online events.

· Take a lead role in organising annually London International Disputes Week and the Mass Actions Conference.

· Lead on thought leadership dinners, seminars, webinars etc.

Market intelligence

· Keeping an eye on competitor initiatives, reporting back to Head of BD, Litigation market intelligence.

· Looking outside the firm to contribute to ideas/ initiatives for developing for the Litigation team.

Client development and relationship management

· Support the litigation team in taking a proactive approach to targeting and maintaining relationships.

· Support partners in client targeting activity, ensuring optimum use made of CRM systems.

· Work with the PAs to ensure that client details and marketing lists are maintained.

· Support effective use of client feedback information.

PR/Comms

Supporting the reputational activities of the firm through:

· Support partners/lawyers' social media activity.

· Work with the wider litigation team and PR specialist to identify and drive profile raising opportunities.

· Maintain the litigation business development content on relevant group pages on the Firm's intranet and external website.

Team Support

· Attend relevant Sector/Practice Group meetings.

· Share best practice and support the development of team members.

· Support collaborative working across the wider Groups BD team.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

· Degree qualified or equivalent level.

· Marketing qualification or progress toward marketing qualifications is desirable.

Relevant Experience:

· Previous experience of a professional environment.

· Previous business development experience is essential.

· Confident and outgoing.

· IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
