BD DIRECTOR

We are delighted to be partnering with an established UK law firm to hire an interim Business Development Director on an initial 6 month contract. Our client is open to viewing this as a potential interim to perm hire or taking on an experienced BD professional who wants to view this solely as a 6-month contract opportunity.
Given the timeframe, we are in a position where we would like to engage individuals who are either immediately available or on a 2-6 week's notice period. The role will encompass the whole Business Development mix and will sit within the firm's overall leadership team, one of the core objectives during the 6 month contract period will be evaluating the current Business Development setup and practices at the firm then reporting back to the business with your opinions and ideas.
As such we are looking for BD professionals with prior experience of operating at Director level, ideally within a UK headquartered law firm. Additionally, the role will have a team underneath them so prior people management experience will be important to demonstrate.

An over of some key requirements

• Providing leadership to the BDM function, ensuring that the existing team are supported and being on hand to assist the team and individuals on day to day BD and Marketing activity.
• Working closely with the Partners on ensuring wider business objectives are met and existing business plans are being carried out.
• Carry out a strategic overview of the firms current Business Development plans and team structure and report back to firms leadership team.
• Look at existing BD practises and processes and come up with recommendations for potential improvements which would align with firms strategic goals.
