Assistant Commercial Business Partner

Are you a newly qualified accountant with a knack for driving profitability and influencing senior stakeholders? If so, Ambition are supporting a law firm with their search for an Assistant Commercial Business Partner. Working within the Commercial Business Partnering team, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's profitability and pricing strategies!



Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Improvement: Build strong relationships with senior fee earners, identify profit improvement areas, and support the creation of profitability plans.
  • Pricing: Assist in creating and presenting pricing proposals, and drive improvements in pricing practices.
  • Finance Operations: Provide monthly performance analysis, support finance improvement projects, and assist in budgeting and forecasting.


What Are They Looking For:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) - desirable, will also consider Part Qualified candidates
  • Proven experience in driving profitability improvements
  • High proficiency in financial modeling
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Experience in cross-functional project environments and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience in the legal or professional services sector - could be a great first role for someone looking to move in house from practice
