Ambition celebrates 10 years of building better futures in London

Back to Blogs

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Ambition in London following the acquisition of Recruitment Business Witan Jardine back in 2008.

On Friday 14th September Ambition celebrated the past decade by hosting an exclusive black-tie event for over 100 clients, candidates, employees and Ambition alumni.

The venue

Held in the beautiful Terrace Room at Le Meridien Hotel in Piccadilly, the party provided us with a great opportunity to celebrate our success with the people who have played a key part in our journey during the past decade.

It truly was a stunning venue and the room was decorated with anabundance of greenery to reflect our branding, including some delicious cupcakes (topped with green icing, of course) and bespoke ‘Ambition’ green cocktails.

The speeches

On the night, Ambition’s CEO, Nick Waterworth and Managing Director, Nicky Acuna Ocana, spoke about the journey Ambition has been on over the past decade. From making it through the other side of the Global Financial Crisis to becoming London’s leading Professional Services recruitment agency, Ambition has been on an eventful and very successful journey.

Addressing the guests, Nicky Acuna Ocana said; To our candidates and clients, thank you for your continued support. We really couldn’t do our jobs without the trust and the strong relationships that we have with you. I look forward to being part of Ambition and seeing what the future holds as we continue to flourish and develop over the next 10 years and beyond.”

Addressing Ambition employees, she added; “We wouldn’t have such a fantastic, inclusive culture without the people that work at Ambition. Our employees are the beating heart of our company.  Every one of you plays an important part in our success and uniqueness, and you continue to make an impact on a daily basis.”

Nick Waterworth said; "What makes Ambition London thrive ten years on is the people in our team, their incredible dedication, ability to get the basics right, and absolute commitment to consistently providing a great service – our people truly live by our mission of Building Better Futures".

Party time

After the speeches, the party really got into full swing. The ‘Ambition Casino’ opened its doors for a few hours of fun and a magic mirrorphotobooth was set up so that guests had memories of the evening to take away with them at the end of the night.

Everyone enjoyed a range of delicious canapés, including miniature shepherds pies and Thai green curry followed by macaroons and chocolate truffles.

Towards the end of the night, the dance floor was the most definitely the place to be as people busted their signature moves (notably ‘the worm’).

Thank you

The event was the perfect way to celebrate 10 years of Building Better Futures in London. Nicky, Nick and all of us at Ambition would like to thank everyone who attended and joined us to celebrate such a momentous birthday.
