Valuations Manager

A leading Financial Services team is looking to expand its Actuarial and Risk team in London with the addition of a Valuations Manager.

The purpose of the role is to provide Valuations services the the firms' clients, 70%-80% of which are audit clients. You will be helping a range of clients by providing advice and solutions they need to achieve their business goals and to enable them to grow.

The team, having experienced an increase in workflow over the last 12 months are seeking somebody to take ownerships of the valuations of derivatives and complex financial instruments.

Due to the nature of the clients, the ideal candidate will need to have an accountin/audit background and be familiar with IFRS 30, 20, 2 and possibly IFRS 9 in the future.

You can expect a lot of exposure from day one; you will be reporting directly into the partners (both within the direct team and the audit team) and you will be given the opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility and ownership, with the support of the wider team. There will also be some cross-over with the business valuations team.

Experience doing a similar job would be preferred although those within financial services audit would be of interest. You should have a strong technical and mathematical ability and ideallt you will be familiar with the Monte Carlo method. Experience using Bloomberg would also be an advantage.
