A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented, engaging and professional Team Secretary to join one of the worlds most prestigious law firms based in stunning offices in the City, supporting an award-winning Learning & Development team.

This law firm has a superb culture which is supportive, collaborative and forward thinking. The L&D team are excellent and deliver all of their training and development processes in-house, so this Team Secretary role will be a great mix of day to day Secretarial duties alongside the opportunity to be involved with the delivery of courses.

The Team Secretary role requires a candidate with previous experience of working within a legal environment and someone who has had exposure to supporting a business services team before. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks at once, prioritising accordingly.

The Learning & Development Team Secretary works alongside some truly inspirational people who are focused on delivering service excellence, so this ethos should be at the heart of your motivators. The role will be busy and varied and will include:

  • Proactive diary management for senior managers
  • Scheduling meetings with stakeholders ensuring room bookings/AV/catering requirements are confirmed
  • Preparing materials for meetings and training sessions
  • Collating reports weekly
  • Sending out pre-training course materials for completion and logging results on the LMS
  • Coordinating coaching sessions
  • Proactively preparing internal communications for the L&D team
  • Tracking L&D team availability
  • General ad-hoc tasks as required

In order to be successful in this L&D Team Secretary role, you will need:

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of document management and learning management software
  • Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrable experience in multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
  • First class written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of building strong internal and external relationships
  • Flexible approach
  • High levels of professionalism and integrity, able to deal with confidential information
  • Experience of working within a legal environment, supporting a business services team
