A top Law firm are recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join them in London on an 8 month FTC.

For this position you will be responsible for partner tax accounting, managing the tax general ledger accounts and performing reconciliations of these accounts. The role has a reporting dimension to ensure that external advisors are provided with the relevant financial date required to complete local tax returns.

Key responsibilities for this Tax Accountant role will include:

• Supervising the Tax Assistant, ensuring that the Inter-Office Tax Account is cleared on a monthly basis through the posting of payments. Keeping the supporting country tax payment excel sheets up to date and reconciled
• Maintaining the head office tax general ledger accounts. Preparing and posting journals to ensure the timely accounting for tax payments. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all tax accounts to offline worksheets
• Group reporting to review inter-company and inter office transactions alongside the international tax manager
• Working alongside the Tax Assistant and the wider tax team to develop and test an online tax payment tracker, partner tax reserves and double tax relief claims module.

For this role you will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have a practical, decisive work approach.
