Senior Payables Assistant

A top international Law firm are looking for a Senior Payables Assistant to join their established team. The role is an 18 month fixed-term contract and will be based within their new, high-performing Head office in Central London. The role will be in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Co-ordinator, maintaining and co-ordinating the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Department.

The job responsibilities include:
*Vendor invoice posting UK and Asia
*Process London weekly payment run
*Produce urgent manual cheques
*Compliance with SAR and VAT rules
*Supply documentation support as and when requested
*Deal with vendor queries
*Vendor statement review
*Provide training for other members of the Accounts Payables team
*London Office expense Auditing
*Approving expense reports and passing through for payment
*Ensuring compliance with firm reimbursement policies
*Dealing with various expense queries and general accounting queries
The ideal candidate must:
*Be detail-orientated and strong client focussed
*Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
*Adopt a flexible and proactive approach
*Work well to tight deadlines when under pressure
*Be a confident team player, but able to work autonomously as well
*Strong IT skills - strong Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.)
*Experience using Chrome River and Rippe Finance Systems (preferential but not essential)
