Senior Legal Cashier (Client)

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for your next opportunity in a senior level position?

Working for an international law firm, this role will focus predominantly on Client cashiering and you will be acting as lead client cashier and ensuring client monies transactions are in compliance with SRA Accounts rules.

Some of the duties include but are not limited to:

- Supervising the firm's banking team
- Ensuring the SRA breaches log is kept up to date
- Liaising with the COFA and COLP as required, including any money laundering concerns or serious breaches of the SRA Accounts Rules
- Leading the SRA Accounts rules audits; liaising with the auditors in attendance; assisting with any internal audits
- Managing cash applications posting of client monies receipts into the firm's client accounts for the London, Singapore, Resource Law and Kazakhstan offices
- Setting up client payments on the Firm's E- Banking systems - liaising with partners and senior managers to authorise release of these
- Processing client to office and client to client transfers, in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules 2011
- Maintaining records of all client deposit accounts and joint solicitors' accounts, assisting in the opening of the accounts and liaising with the bank on receipts and payments for the accounts
- Ensuring Global Bank Reconciliations are performed monthly for all client accounts and sent for sign off
- Managing residual client account balances; dealing with partners and their secretaries to ensure these are dealt with in accordance with the SRA Rules and firm policy
- Assisting the office cashiers in dealing with unallocated incoming funds; communicating with the collection team and preparing a daily spreadsheet of unallocated funds

To be successful in your application, you will need to have extremely strong Solicitors Accounts Rules, knowledge and a wealth of experience in hands on Client Cashiering.

Ideally, you will have experience of Elite 3e, but they are flexible to consider Elite or Aderant. Applicants would ideally hold a senior level position, but equally, they will consider someone looking to make a step up into a supervisory level role.
