Senior Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a finalist/newly qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join the outsourcing team of a Top 10 Accountancy firm in their Guildford office. You will work independently and be the first point of contact for the firm's clients throughout the projects.

Duties:

• Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP
• Preparation of other financial reports such as forecasts, profit projections, benchmarking reviews
• Excellent knowledge of various accounting software packages including Sage, Xero, Quickbooks
• Prepare year end accounting files ready for audit either by internal or external auditors.
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Ability to become a champion in specialist areas eg software packages, VAT, medical for your office
• Prepare management accounts, prepare and post journals, update ledgers, perform bank reconciliation and cash book analysis as required to complete monthly reporting processes
• Preparation of consolidations and cash flows for year-end statutory accounts
