The main responsibilities of the role will include:
Working alongside the Associate Director of Sales to establish a strategy to drive sales
Sourcing new business and establishing profitable long term client relationships
Targeting and generating potential income using both proactive and reactive sales techniques
Preparing and delivering client pitches in all areas of the new business life cycle, including tenders and proposal preparation
Identifying referral and cross selling opportunities
Identifying team training needs, conducting workshops where required and advising on external requirements as necessary
Conducting half year and yearly appraisals as well as regular 1:1s enhancing performance, ensuring the team is equipped to achieve their set goals
In order to be the successful candidate for this role you must have relevant substantial sales experience within the professional services sector, and have experience in identifying, engaging, building and managing sales pipelines. You must be able to communicate professionally and influence partners and senior staff, and you should have previous management and coaching experience, including conducting appraisals.
