Restructuring Senior Vice-President

Having completed four of the five largest global restructures last year, my client are firmly regarded as one of the main turnaround powerhouses and they have a requirement for a new Senior Vice President in their Turnaround Restructuring Services division.


This team is composed of the most respected financial restructuring professionals in the industry in that they are widely recognised for their successful record in helping clients resolve urgent situations and implement rapid change when it matters most. This group work side-by-side with both management teams and key stakeholders to help overcome various strategic, financial and operational challenges and so they want to ensure that the person coming in as a Senior VP will continue to keep the standard high on projects where failure is not an option.

Those operating at this level currently are smart, pragmatic and results focused individuals who operator on a range of UK based and international engagements. The Senior Restructuring VPs are very much viewed as the future business leaders in the business and they have a commercially approach and an eye for spotting opportunities for new business.

To be considered for the role, you must have relevant and hands-on project management experience in financial restructuring gained in either consulting (Big 4), private-equity, banking of industry. Academically you must be very strong with a university degree and relevant post graduate qualifications such as the ACA / ACCA etc.


Demonstrable experience in some of the following distressed situations is essential:

  • Financial turnaround programmes
  • Cash and working capital management
  • Building, reviewing and maintaining short term cash flow models
  • Formulating, reviewing and analysing business plans and financial forecasts
  • Supporting Chief Restructuring Officer roles
  • Balance sheet restructurings


In addition to the above, string financial analysis and modelling still with a solid understanding of financial statements is key as is the ability to supervise other experienced professionals on projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to write well laid out, easily understood analysis and presentations will also be a must if you're to be successful in the selection process for this role.

Being a European practice, this role will involve working for short periods overseas on client site and some flexibility for working abroad and regionally in the UK will be required.
