Our client is one of the leading restructuring and operational turnaround consultancies in the world and their UK business leads in this market within the healthcare sector.

The team is spread nationally across the UK and they work across the public sector with a particular focus on the NHS (hospitals, clinical commissioning groups and health systems).

They provide hands-on advisory support to these clients to help deliver financial and operational performance turnaround. Their offering is to effectively blend restructuring situational skills (hands-on, pragmatic, managing stakeholders) with functional expertise (business planning, cost reduction, cash and change management) and industry experience.

The typical assignment that this team handle includes:

  • Financial baseline and forecast review
  • Programme management office establishment and operations
  • Development, planning and delivery of operational improvement projects
  • Cost control programme development and implementation
  • Strategic planning with business case and scenario modelling.

With plenty of new projects coming through into the team, the need to recruit experienced healthcare restructuring professionals with experience of operating on cost reduction programmes in the NHS or public sector has never been more important.

They can facilitate those working at more junior consultant levels right through to highly experienced professionals at Manager and Senior Manager grade.

Strong financial analytical skills (financial and non-financial), report writing, stakeholder management are all key requirements and you will need to have strong commercial awareness to thrive in a highly successful and driven working environment.

There is a fair amount of UK travel based on the client on-site nature of the role. You can be based in either Reading, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham or Cambridge but you will be frequently stationed on-site across various UK locations during the week.

If you are a talented and motivated healthcare specialist with skills in cost reduction, performance improvement, operational restructuring and/or clinical process improvement and have a desire to work in the private sector for an award winning and highly impressive consultancy - this is the role to apply for today.
