Partnership Accountant

A great opportunity has arisen to join an international law firm in their finance team as their Partnership Accountant on a 6 month FTC basis.

As the Partnership Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of profit, tax reserves and partner payments for over 100 partners across multi-jurisdictions and multi-currencies together with providing general accounting support through the financial year-end close, statutory accounts preparation and audit.

The individual will be responsible for calculation profit distribution payments to our partners for the year-ended 30 April 17.

Working closely with the Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller, the Partnership Accountant will assume responsibility for the following:

- Preparation of partner distribution statements.
- Preparation of illustrative cash flow statements (for lateral hire partners and retiring partners).
- Preparation of year end journals for profit allocation, tax and capital build.
- Reconciliation of all partner accounts.
- Analysis and reconciliations to support tax computations
- Review and documentation of current working processes and procedures and ensuring follows best practice.
- Support in the preparation of year-end financial statements, supporting papers and auditor requests.

To be successful in your application, it is essential to have previous partnership accounts experience, most likely to be working within a law firm. Ideally someone who is fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and have a confident/ effective communication style.
