Numbers Analyst - Modelling

An established equities broker is looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified Analyst to join its Research Management team in London.

A leader in the field, the firm provides institutional investors with research and trading in equity markets whilst promoting premium, quality client service. Its independence means it sidesteps the conflicts of interest increasingly frustrating those in the equity research market.

Quality of their published research is paramount and the team focuses on ensuring the financials, structure, argument and overall narrative are second to none in order to deliver maximum commercial and intellectual impact.

The main responsibility of the role is to ensure that the numerical content of the research in both the analyst's reports and on the website are accurate and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following activities:

• Review financial and research models
• Perform model audits to identify calculation, accounting or valuation errors, offering constructive feedback for improvement
• Day to day management of models and financials
• Liaising with analysts from a range of tams, including the editorial team
• Playing a proactive role in developing management systems as needed.

Ideally, you will be ACA qualified with prior experience within an audit role. You should have had some financial experience and your Excel skills will be second to none. You will be naturally analytic with a high level of attention to detail and enjoy working with numbers, but with the requisite soft skills to communicate your findings effectively to others.
