M&A Associate - TMT

A boutique M&A advisory firm is looking to expand its team with the addition of an M&A Associate.

The firm advises fast-growing technology companies on buy-side and sell-side M&A, IPO advisory, exit planning, portfolio development, and financings such as growth capital, secondary transactions, debt and recapitalisations.

The majority of their transactions are cross border and they work with businesses within the technology sector, particularly those that are at growth stage, as well as private equity and venture funds, and corporates looking to grow through acquisition or investment.

With a healthy pipeline, the team requires an experienced M&A associate.

As an associate, you would typically have the following responsibilities:

• Company models and valuation analyses
• Preparation of teasers and co-ordinating the preparation of pitch presentations
• Co-ordinating due diligence processes
• Reviewing termsheets
• Meeting with clients
• Co-ordinating marketing activities
• Strategic research on sector
• Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team

The successful candidate will have had at least 3 years' M&A experience, within investment banking or professional services.

You should by now be highly familiar with modelling and valuation methods and have excellent Excel skills. You will be able to independently perform research from public resources and databases, e.g. private company registers, financial reports, CapIQ etc.
