Legal Biller
I am currently working with an International Law Firm assisting them in their search for a Legal Biller. The role will be working within the Financial Operations team, working closely and alongside the Credit Control, Cashiering and Finance Database team.This is a great opportunity to work within an ambitious, driven and hard-working environment and be able to learn and develop.
The main responsibilities include:
- Providing a comprehensive billing service
- Ensuring that fee earners fully comply with comprehensive time recording policies and registering all disbursements
- Tracking and chasing incomplete time entries
- Producing and circulating WIP reports as required
- Proactively engaging fee earners to ensure prompt billing to minimise WIP lock-up
- Checking charge rates and ensuring compliance with client service level agreements
- Drafting interim and final bills as requested and in accordance with SLA
- Responding to all queries and requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maximising WIP captured and preparing for delivery with delay, including the preparation of composite bills, bordereaux and other required schedules
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by line manager
The candidate should:
- Be committed to delivering a professional service to the highest standards with a strong focus on client service
- Be a self-motivated, proactive and strong team member
- Have good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Have knowledge of SRA accounts riles and VAT and working knowledge of legal billing cycles and WIP
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident telephone manner and strong writing skills
