Head of Business Development

We are currently working in partnership with a leading law firm to bring in a Head of Business Development, the role will operate across the firm's practice areas and will be influential in driving strategy and leading the BD function. Whilst the role will predominately be UK focused there will be joined up projects to be carried out across the EMEA region.

You will be expected to provide strategic leadership to partners across the firm and to the wider BD function as a whole.

I have highlighted a short overview below;

*Work in tandem with partners you will be responsible for coordinating budgets and overseeing the implementation of tailored business plans across practice groups to meet the firms overall strategic goals.

*Alongside the client relationship team you will be responsible for working with sector Heads of BD to run the client relationship programme, with an emphasis of highlighting new business opportunities within existing and new clients.

*Take overall responsibility for the firm's brand and reputation within specific markets, working in conjunction with Heads of Marketing on tailored campaigns and projects.

*Responsibility for the people management side of the BD function, taking pride in helping individuals reach their professional potential and aiding their career development.

We are looking for someone to demonstrate prior experience in leadership roles within professional services & someone who has a thorough Business Development background.

There is not an emphasis on particular practice area exposure but prior legal area experience would be preferred.
