Head of Business Development

Ambition are looking for a Head of Business Development to join a top 10 accountancy/ consultancy firm.

The role will be responsible for leading and managing the London marketing and BD team alongside personally targeting new business and developing a new business pipeline. The job holder will manage their new business activity to deliver revenue targets for multiple service lines.

The role will be both externally and internally facing, building external relationships to generate work opportunities, managing successful stakeholder relationships internally and managing a team of business development and marketing professionals.

You will be largely focused on delivering new clients for the Audit, Accounting and Financial Reporting and Tax service lines, you will be required to understand all of the services the firm offer and be able to identify and open up opportunities for all services lines by introducing appropriate specialists.

You will be involved in developing and implementing the regional marketing and business development strategy alongside the Regional Managing Partner ensuring regional office BD activity is aligned to regional and national sector and service line strategies.

You will actively manage a sales pipeline and own target relationships, taking responsibility for initiating contact with cold targets and handing over to fee earning teams as appropriate.
