Financial Accountant - per annum

Location: Central London, England

Contract Type: 6 month FTC

A Silver Circle Law Firm are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to help shape the direction of their Finance team. Your main responsibility will be to support the team in producing the statutory accounts and monthly financial reporting for the firm.

Key responsibilities: -

• Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated LLP statutory accounts, including liaising with the auditors and dealing with audit queries
• Completion of month end and year end processes to ensure tables are met, including the preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments
• Ensuring that all balance sheets are reconciled on a monthly basis and any differences are dealt with accordingly
• Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Maintaining and reviewing the fixed assets register
• Produce and review monthly management reports provided to the assigned budget holders
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets

Key requirements: -

• Qualified with a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a 1+ year experience
• University degree or previous relevant experience
• Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level and a willingness to develop wider systems skills including reporting tools
• Must be organised, thorough and accurate demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and accuracy in work at all times
• Must have excellent written and communication skills, with the confidence to communicate to partners or senior members of business services
• Flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines. Occasional need to work outside of core working hours
